About Northease Manor
Northease Manor is set amongst the beautiful rolling countryside of the South Downs, and dates back to the 17th century. The Queen Anne Manor House is a Grade II listed building, and today is home to independent Northease Manor School. It has a long and interesting history, and was once home to an ancient order of monks.
The fascinating history and charming character of Northease Manor make it a perfect venue for a wedding or civil partnership. If you’re looking for an out of town location, which offers you the flexibility to create a truly unique event, Northease is a great place to consider.
The Tudor Hall
Northease Manor’s rustic Tudor Hall with its pretty thatched roof is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 110 guests, and is also a great place to serve the wedding breakfast.
We can provide solid wood trestle tables and benches for a rustic feel, or crisp white, floor-length linen for either trestle or round tables if you’d like a more elegant feel.
Thanks to our friends at Reveries Wedding Decorators, we can arrange for the hallways and Tudor Hall at Northease to be draped and up-lit any colour to bring a romantic, fairy-tale feel to the venue.
Beautiful grounds and stunning views
The grounds of Northease Manor include the stunning flint covered house, endless lawns and large trees — all of which make a beautiful backdrop for your photos.
The Rose Garden provides the perfect place for your welcome drinks and canapes, offering your guests the chance to enjoy the beautiful surrounding views of Sussex farmland and the rolling South Downs.
We also include a free Capri marquee for the welcome drinks, as you can never count on the English weather!
Your bespoke wedding breakfast
The meal itself can be designed by you with the help of Circa Head Chef, Marc Bolger, who will talk through your tastes and influences, and any themes you may have for the day. Whilst this venue lends itself perfectly to a sit down meal, there are plenty of other options to explore if you’d like something less formal.
Please note that the minimum number of daytime adult guests is currently 70 at this venue, and the finish time for music and a licensed bar is 11pm.
