Originally built as a Wedding Present in 1903 Saltcote Place overlooks the ancient Cinque Ports town of Rye; now a private family home where the owners clearly enjoy working with couples to help in the delivery of a perfectly bespoke Celebration.

Location Set back from its commanding cliff top position with far reaching views Saltcote Place is the only Wedding Venue in the UK with two 5 star gold awards from Visit Britain. We are located about 8 minutes’ walk from Rye high street set in our own secluded grounds.
Gardens With formal gardens and extensive lawns set across a few levels your Celebration could easily have a number of areas to ensure your Guests are properly looked after and of course even one of the lower lawns for a Children’s entertainment area.

The Queen Ann Mansion Well over 50 elegant chandeliers adorn this Queen Anne Mansion to cast a warm glow over our Brides. The stunning main reception rooms are all light with high ceilings to ensure the right first impression.

Arriving at Saltcote you first encounter the Lime tree lined avenue as you make your way through the long sweeping drive Saltcote presents herself perfectly framed. Once inside the large wrought iron gates Saltcote Place is your exclusive use country home for the entire duration of your celebration with no concerns for anyone other than your Friends and family and certainly no concerns for parking or supervising children.
Accommodation Each of the bedrooms are 5 star graded and the Bride and Groom can both stay here without “bumping into each other” the day before as you all have your own entrance. Every Bride deserves a £10,000+ 7ft Emperor four poster bed as her new life starts. The Bridal suite is in the Hennessy Penthouse from where you overlook Rye, Camber sands with views from Folkestone to Hastings.
Numbers Smaller intimate Weddings are every bit as special to us, our smallest was four people whilst our largest was almost 500 Guests.
Options for your Celebration Our available options are based upon a one or two day Celebration over a weekend, the content of which you have absolute control over – we do not offer “packages” as it we feel it is disrespectful to limit the creativity for such a special occasion instead you get to design your perfect Celebration. We are always excited to hear of our Couples plans and then enjoy working with you to help ensure you get what your heart desires balanced within a reasonable budget.
Catering Our Catering team will delight in preparing whatever you desire, with Family Service, Silver Service or perhaps a twist on a BBQ with a hog roast may be your preference. Our Catering team have over 30 years’ experience at the very top of their profession. Delicious menus reflecting fresh local and seasonal ingredients will always feature strongly.
