Best Venues Church

Brides who have always dreamed of walking down the aisle in church in a beautiful white dress will be looking for the best church wedding venues. The traditional and spiritual aspects of getting married in a church are key factors for many. Booking church weddings in Eastsussex can be more complex than getting married in a registry office or a licensed venue. But with the right advice you could soon be walking towards your groom with sound of the wedding march filling the air.

Do we have to go to church to get married there?

This is a commonly asked question and applies to Church of England ceremonies. If you do not live in the parish (the local area) of a church you must show a link to it. This means your parents or grandparents must have been married there, you or your partner must have been confirmed there or you must attend church.

In most cases if you speak with the vicar they will let you know how long you must attend for. Usually this is around 6 months prior to getting married. You should attend a service most Sundays to show your commitment to the church. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to get all services or if both of you can’t get there, your vicar will not mind. To get more information on this speak to the vicar when planning church weddings and they will be more than happy to help you.
