What usually happens during a ceremony and reception wedding in a hotel?

Hotels that hold weddings are experts in giving couples an amazing day. If you are thinking of using one of the many hotel wedding venues in Eastsussex here’s a rundown of how your all in one day could look:

You and your bridesmaid arrive the night before and stay overnight or arrive early in the morning. You will all get ready together and wait for the ceremony time, from here you should expect:

Your ceremony, this will usually last around 30 minutes in hotels that have weddings. You, your new husband and your guests will then all move onto another room for drinks and canapés, if you request them, this will last for 90 minutes to 2 hours. From here you will go onto the wedding breakfast, speeches will take place during this time. At most hotel wedding venues this part of the day will last for up to 3 hours.

If you are having an evening party this will start after the wedding breakfast. Guests will start to arrive for your party. If you are having a buffet this usually gets underway 90 minutes after the start of the party. You might like to cut your cake during the evening reception, or during the wedding breakfast, the choice is yours. You will also have your first dance as a married couple during the evening party.
